and i wanted to wait to post after i hear back from the universities... but i'm pissed off!!! i know i'm not going to Queen's (sorry Luna), or Lakehead, or Nipissing... so now my chances are well pretty slim... Lakehead and Nipissing are suppose to be ones that are easier to get in and they rejected me!!!
i don't know if i'm more pissed off now or upset... and i gotta wait till thursday to find out from the other 3 universities... every minute feels like 10 years right now, and i hate it!

Reading week was good. Awesome to see you 5262, sorry you were so busy Pinky.
As you guys may have guessed about my FB status, I am DONE MIDTERMS. Woo! Had three this week and wrote the last one this afternoon... then immediately went to volunteering for 4 hours and just came home and had dinner... lentils. Again.
Between 3 exams, a 5 hour lab and a report all due within 3 days, I'm pretty pooped. I want to watch TV but one of my roommates broke her computer so she has to hard-wire the rental comp to the router in the living room so I don't want to disturb her.
I think I'll do some reading, maybe a bit of drawing too. There are a few books I want to finish reading, considering I started some of them at least two years ago.

MUAH!!!!
i love u guys!!! so when u coming home from ur crazy university life? just went out to sushi w Pinky last nite... sooo stuffed...
and thought i caught up on some good gossip b4 teaching... guess what?! E found me on fbk!!!
anyway, i'm really excited but slightly jealous... my baby cousin is in the process of setting a date for her wedding in 2009... but very happy for her of course. she even asked me to be her maid of honor! so i just might be going to Australia next year. i was really touched, she said that i was the first person that she'd thought of to be at her wedding (aside from the groom and her parents) and that she considered me as her closest family member and best friend...
ahhhhh, really gotta get in shape!
anyway, gotta go teach now. gimme a shout when u come back in town

Hee hee, thank you!!
I have a midterm on Wednesday, but first I have an assignment due tmr + a Dr. appt + meeting w/ my advisor + 2 tutorials and then on Wednesday before the exam I have a report due + another assignment due + a 5 hour lab, and THEN another assignment due Friday! I'm dyinnng and I have barely studied for this dumb midterm.

oh stupid allergies...
u know spring is coming when... yuppers allergies starting to hit me in the face... but otherwise not a whole lot to report... i was at my student's house today and Steph the oldest daughter is picking courses for Grade 10, and poor girl is having such a tough time with it... i could tell her mom is too... they were fighting over what to take and of course being a teenager, you don't care what's more important or how it'll affect you future... you just wanna do what you wanna do...
so the mom asked me to help... and i tried, to the best of my abilities to reason... but gosh, who was i kidding?! REASON with a TEENAGER?! anyway, i told her and wrote down a bunch of courses that i know she'll be interested in and gave her my advise and they'll have to take over from there...
i got another brochure from Nipissing the other day and i thought: NO!!! they're rejecting me already?! it's not even April yet, the results are not suppose to come till April 1st...
you know, that's a real mean thing to do, to have results come on April Fools Day, i'm gonna get a letter n it's gonna be like : Congratulations you are accepted into " " university... HAHA APRIL FOOLS!!!
can you imagine?!
anyway, i better get going... good luck on exams! (***5262 performing magical pwrs on Luna, so she'll ace those exams n kick some serious ass***)

What's this?? I'm the only one keeping up this thing?
It's FRIDAY. TGIF.
I have the flu or something. It sucks. I was planning on giving up procrastination/sloth for Lent, but I don't think that's going to happen considering how I'm feeling right now. I just want to go to beddddd...
I wonder how long this will last. If it goes through the weekend, I won't be able to get my volunteering hours in this week... though my volunteering partner at the hospital shows up maybe once every two months and she still writes down hours every week. That's so low.
Not much else going on. I've finished 1 of 5 midterms, and I'm keeping up pretty well in the class for which other midterm I have next week. What's gonna kill are the three midterms three days in a row right after reading week... oog, really not looking forward to that.

5262, I'm SO JEALOUSSSS that your first boyfriend was such a gorgeous celebrity. Oh wait... my bf is pretty gorgeous now (as long as he doesn't go near sushi)... but not INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN. RARR.
You should marry himmm... and have lots of gorgeous babiessss.... BABIES!!!
Ummmm not much else to say. My lab partner STABBED me with a micropipette yesterday and we were working with E. coli. If I get an infection and my arm falls off, I'm suing.

Where is Pinky?!?!?!
So, I talked to Pinky, and she said there's something wrong with her comp. anyway, i knew you were going to NB in the summer but i didn't know that you were taking classes there. but that sounds cool though... i don't know, what i'm gonna do next year really... i guess i'll have to wait and find out. i most likely won't be working, or maybe i'll just keep 1 or 2 students depending on where i go and how my schedule is i guess.

1 week later
Heyyy it's me again! Pinky still is MIA, eh? COME BACK PINKY!!
I doubt I'll be around the 1st weekend of April because that's when finals are coming up... Actually, I don't even know if I'm going to be around in April at all because I'm going to NB for the summer... I think I mentioned that already. Anyway, the last day of exams at school is April 30, and then my first day of classes in NB is May 1st. I might shoot myself if I don't get at least a few days break in between.
Pretty tired right now, didn't sleep too well... have three assignments due this week and I've finished two of them... and left the hardest and longest one for tonight and tomorrow. Blechhhhhh.... 5262, CHERISH your time not in school!! I'm going to be stuck here for another 10 years.
So WHEN you go back to school next year, will you still be working or will you devote your full time to school? How's the restaurant by the way?

It certainly has been a long time. Sitting here in the science library, waiting another 1/2 hour for a seminar to start. Life has been super busy here on my end as well... so sorry I couldn't meet up with any of you over Thanksgiving or Christmas break, but I actually ended up being snowed in in NB... 170cm of snow there. Literally there were small avalanches coming off the roof and we had to wear snowshoes. Interesting time, though.
We're now in our 3rd full week of school and I'm already sick of it... Only 5 weeks until I come home for reading week! Unfortunately I don't share a reading week with any other university, but for those of you who are done school (I'm looking at you, 5262), we might still be able to get together.
Also unfortunately I have three midterms in a row the week I return to school afterward, which means I'm going to be going crazy with stress and studying and all that during reading week... oh well, what can you do?
Other than studying and biochem labs, I'm volunteering at the General Hospital here and accompanying elders in their daily chores like grocery shopping. I'm currently trying to find a placement in a lab... if only to get some kind of reference letter from a prof. Oog. Anyone have suggestions on how to go about that?
